Great time was had by all the CAR attendees. Pretty severe wind on Saturday pushed most flights way North of the flight line, but Sunday, after a brief sprinkle of rain, turned out great! Tim B’s Soo Long upper stage motor failed to light, resulting in a very quick return to ground level, and an interesting new topography of what was previously a perfect cylinder.

The Thunderbirds put on their usual outstanding show, the F35 demo team was awesome as well, and Tora! Tora! Tora! put the fire and smoke to awesome use in a recreation of the attack on Pearl Harbor that happened 82 years ago this December.

It was also a great chance for us to meet with people from all walks of life, and tell them about rocketry. It is always great to introduce someone to a sport/hobby like ours and make new friends in the process. Look forward to seeing many of those faces again in the near future! In the mean time, here are some pictures from the event.

Tim had a couple of nice flights on his Aurora Clipper, Shan got his HPR fix with the Mystic Buzz and Mega Red Max flights. Alvin had a successful launch of his Dragonite rocket , and Stella launched her Generic E2X for her first rocket launch ever!

Didn’t make it to 100 degrees, but glad to have brought our own shade.
