River Cities Dragon Boat Festival

If anyone has time this weekend, this is a great family event and fundraiser for the Children’s Protection Center.
Schedule of events:
Friday, 10 June:
5:00 pm: Team check-in begins, Team practices on the water,Food Trucks open, Yard Games open
6:00 pm: Children’s Area Opens
7:00 pm: Music, fun from the stage
8:30 pm: Practices finish
9:10 pm: Fireworks Show
Saturday, 11 June:
7:30 am: Athlete’s Village opens; all paddlers arrive, sign waivers and receive wrist bands
9:00 a.m. – Opening Ceremony & Drummer’s Parade
9:15 a.m. – Marshalling & Races Begin
11:30 a.m. – Dragon Cup Race
1:00 p.m. – Championship Round
2:45 pm: Awards Ceremony
